TEAM MICHELLE
Project Michelle was started by Michelle’s close friends and family, but has grown into an incredible nationwide volunteer effort that lives through the support from all of you. Thank you for giving Michelle and other bone marrow transplant patients a new chance at life.
FROM VAN

Michelle and I met while attending Berkeley. I didn’t know then that I would be lucky enough to spend the next 6 years of my life with her. From visiting beautiful Angkor Wat in Cambodia to hiking up Half Dome, Michelle has been by my side for the most memorable moments.
Our lives were turned upside down in February 2007 when she was first diagnosed, and just when we thought things were back on a positive track, life took another unexpected turn with her relapse this year. Please help Michelle get her life back. You could be the one to give us a chance to fulfill our dreams.
FROM MABEL
Michelle is my one and only best friend. We’ve been attached at the hip since 6th grade, and I cannot imagine growing older without her to share in laughter, gossip, tears and life. She has been the sister I never had, and I can’t thank her enough for all the love and support she’s given me for the past 15 years. A bone marrow transplant is her one shot at recovery, but that chance is eliminated without a match. Please help us save Michelle and many others like her.
FROM MELANIE
Hello Project Michelle supporters! This is Melanie, the tallest and coolest of the three sisters. I am graduating from UC Berkeley in a couple of weeks, majoring in Integrative Biology and Public Health. I will be applying to medical school this summer along with my duties as
Michelle’s best friend/ (voluntary)servant. There is no feeling like watching your big sis go through such a difficult time, feeling sick, tired, nauseous, and plain ole’ crappy. I am asking you with all my heart to help us. We appreciate everyone’s sympathy and good wishes, but instead of wasting that energy, please harvest it and mobilize! Register yourself,
hold a drive, spread the word, and encourage EVERYONE you know to register to be a bone marrow donor. We can do this with your help and we can save Michelle!!! We only have a few weeks, so don’t treat this like a letter that needs to be mailed but can be held off, or a workout that can be done next week. We need your help NOW
